How the math works

Simple inputs, visible assumptions

Concentration is amount divided by liquid volume. Draw volume is dose divided by concentration. U-100 marks are millilitres multiplied by 100. Longevity is theoretical doses divided by frequency, before waste or storage limits.

Fictional worked example

A fictional 5 mg vial mixed into 2 ml gives 2,500 mcg/ml. A fictional 250 mcg entry is 0.1 ml, or 10 U-100 marks. Replace these values with your own label and verified inputs.

Why is IU potency required?

IU is a biological activity unit, not a universal mass conversion. The correct IU-per-mg relationship depends on the specific product label or COA.

What does U-100 mean?

U-100 means 100 marked syringe units equal 1 ml. This page uses that convention for volume-to-mark calculations; confirm the scale on your syringe.

Does the longevity estimate include waste?

No. It is a theoretical arithmetic estimate and does not include dead space, spills, missed doses, storage limits, or product stability.

Can these tools recommend a dose?

No. They only calculate relationships between values you provide and intentionally avoid medical dosage recommendations.

Why does my result show “Enter potency”?

One of the selected inputs or outputs uses IU. Enter a positive, product-specific IU-per-mg value from the label or COA before relying on that conversion.
